The only thing I will do to keep up with technology is get Windows 7 because my dad has had it for 2 years and loves it, so why not! I might as well get it just to spite Apple and all their not so great products that they sell to people that just want to be hip.
Hip perhaps, but functional definitely. For students in Liberal Arts, as I assume you are because you are in this class, we rarely need the scientific computing power that Windows provides. I used to be anti-Apple until my Dell crashed and I had to use a roomate's MacBook for a while. I realized Windows is frustrating and bought Apple soon after. Give Apple a try and you too might realize the brand isn't just bought to be trendy.
